Always makes me laugh that people put "Don't steal me, I have Lo-Jack
installed" stickers on their cars. Much better to have that as "your
little secret" so the thief won't bother to go hunting for it (or won't
know for sure that there is one there that he should be able to find)...

I understand that it can be very easy to disable a Lo-Jack system the
key being to
find it first. I was told it is so dense that a metal detector can
locate them
pretty easily and then you just rip it out.

Of course the reason for this is that most installation shops are in a
hurry to
install them so they don't take the time to properly locate them.
