The only way you 5.2L 5sp DAK guy will know if you can out run an R/T is to get out there and race one at the track.

I don't know what a stock 5.2L manual runs in the 1/4mi or from 0-60mph, but Motortrend (see Sport Truck for the Buck, May 1998) got their Club Cab R/T to run 0-60 in 7.0sec and 15.4@89mph in the 1/4mi. I am sure that the lighter weight Regular Cab R/T would be quicker!

Besides, my friend has a bone stock 1994 Ford Lightning which is way heavier than even a CC DAK. It is rated at 240hp, 340ft-lbs and runs the 1/4mi all day long at 14.9@90mph.
