I live near Cincinnati, Ohio. There are some moderate hills, but no =
mountains. 75% of the driving is over relatively flat terrain. I never =
noticed any pinging until last Friday. That's why I thought it was =
related to the gas situation. From what I've already heard on the list, =
the Magnum engines don't have knock sensors. If it did, you wouldn't =
hear any pinging, but would get reduced power due to the timing being =
retarded. So, I don't really know how the engine could "learn" its =
parameters from the grade of gas you're using. Anytime that you want to =
reset the computer, just unplug the battery cable for a minute, and =
reattach. When I did this, my radio didn't even lose its presets. If =
you get to the dealer, please let me know what he says.
