Keeping your warranty along with aftermarket parts is all up to your
dealership .. Legally, they can't really do anything unless they prove that
the aftermarket part caused the problem .... Check with them first..
For eg; I have a friend with a Dakota, cammed, big chrome FIPK, MSD, traction
bars, big tach .. etc.... its obvious what he does with the truck, well, his 5
spd went out at 15000miles (big surprise..) .. Dealership replaced it no
questions asked. :) Another dealership said b/c the motor made extra power it
required a beefier manual tranny and that's why it broke.
I also have a friend with a Supercharged Mustang that gets warranty work done
regularly...
