I have been reading the DML archives and recently subscribed to the list
after finding you folks while looking for info on the Dakota R/T. I am
looking for one for my wife (yeah, really (g)). We are in need of
something to do lignt pickup duties every once in a while, that runs and
handles like our '95 Impala SS. Also, I am looking for a new toy to do
mods on. I figure the Dak R/T is the best machine on the market.
If only I could find one! We are presently looking, and seem to be just
a day or two behind the last one the dealer had (I believe THAT one,
too!). We are wanting a CC, in just about any color but red (clashes
with my wife's hair). Does anyone know of any dealers around the
Houston, Texas part of the country who may have one? We are willing to
travel some, and if a dealer were willing to deal a bit, we could fly to
a location. We know of a dealer in Wisconsin who was getting 3 CCs in,
but that is a bit of a jog.
One dealer mentioned that if they make them next year he could order one,
but not until July. Anyone know of any truth to this? Do you think it
will be like this year and the dealers pretty much got what Mopar sent
them? If we do order, who, in your opinion is the better dealership to
deal with in the Houston area? Who to avoid?
