Jon, I dont really know how to answer that. I guess because, like you said,
the Super is a permanent part of the engine. When Im out street racing, the
first thing guys in trans ams, and cobras ask me is, "do you have nitrous?".
When I tell them no they say cool! When they ever ask if I have a Super and I
say no, they say I should try to get one! So go figure! Word on the street,
( atleast on my street! ) is giving it the squirt isnt as noble as bolting on
the blower! Why? No idea!
Heres a question. Why doesnt Mercedes ( Daimler Chrysler, God help us
all!! ) put nitrous on there 2 seater SLK!? They have a supercharger on it!
How bout the Pontiac Grand Prix, or the Turbo Cummins Deisel. Maybe its a
reliability thing. I just prefer the Super charger myself. And please
understand that Im not nocking Nitrous and Im not saying that its cheating. I
just dont like it!
