>not when you advocate .5m metal removal-.75mm +/-... that barely covers
>the green sand depth marks... when i do it it is a maximum effort and I
>spread chips all over the shop floor...then get the broom....

I think you'll remember that the page was a Level I type job and was only
focused at gettin' rid of the bump and polishing the bore. Perfect
starting point for someone that's unsure of what the results are gonna be.

>pretty isn't the issue it is the gain for the effort...but for the
>do-itur-selfer in gneral i think you are offering a good tech base...as
>it is safe and conservative.

        Thanks...exactly my intent 8^)

>> and (assuming I could afford the down time on the truck) I'd flowbench it

>trust me... if against mine... you'd loose....

Hmmm....it's that type of thinkin' that usually preceeds a downfall. ;^)

as well as I feel it has. 14.9s (2.2 60')
>many of my customers see 1.92 +/- 60's...

The 60' is really just a measure of traction. The point here was to show
that it ran the 14 with a just "ok" 60'.

>So...you've got the cost of a sanding drum
>> kit involved (under $20) and a couple hours of time (including the r&r) vs.
>
>wrong... homey... i got a $20K machine shop op dedicated to tbis...

        <LOL> No...I didn't mean that's what *you* have invested....I meant the
"home" guy. 8^)

>it is personal decisions... simply personal decisions...

        Exactly.

>you may want to reread my post ... i didn't knock it, i simply stated a
>fact that is the result of my experiece...

Well...I don't know about anybody else but when ya flat out say without
seein' it or flowin' it that yer's would whoop it's ass....I'd say yer
knockin' it. Experience or not.

>probably not IMO as you offer the tech free on the net and sears sells
>the tools cheap... but they are lite duty at best for a serious job...

No...actually...I think you *could* sell 'em. You carry a certain amount
of weight in the market and trust is an important factor. Granted....the
Sears dremel pieces *are* light duty and you'll most likely run thru the
kit by time yer done.....but...it works.

>it is a personal issue. I get over $2500 for a pair of ported cyl
>heads... exchange.

I'm not even goin' there....... 8^)
