Yeah Scott....I'm runnin' the Accel stuff. Haven't seen Dave's so I
don't know what the differences are. Can't be too much different tho. I'd
say it's just a matter of what's easier to get. I got mine at the local
Pep Boy's and they had to order it (took a couple/three days or sumthin').
The 4071 (is that right?) number sounds right. When I got mine the parts
store didn't have the '97 covered yet so I just got '95 or '96 5.2L plugs.
I'd say you could safely gap close to .040 maybe with the stock ignition
and new wires. I'm runnin' a Blaster 2 coil with the MSD box. For what
they cost you might consider a Blaster 3 (I shoulda got this one
instead....has the HEI style male terminal at the top instead of the old
style female one). I'd say the hotter coil would let you open up the gap
closer to where I am (.048).
