Shawn,

Whenever I place something in my cup holders that is not snug, I press
on the side of the cup holder so that it will click a couple of times.
Hold the cup much better, but it still is not the best design.

Hmm, I don't seem to have the floor console
drink holder. I have the one that you have to
pull out from underneath the middle section.
It does ok, but Saturday while at Mc D's
I had another large coke that flew out from
the holder and exploded in my passenger
floor board. I was beyond mad at that point.
I swore from then on that I would never put
another drink in those damn things!!!!!

George:

I think you are referring to the cup-holder that comes out of the
dash. Well, on the '97s, you get a floor console that sits right
behind the shifter. Your soda is supposed to sit between the stick
and the seat. When you pull her down to second or fourth, you
crush your drink.

Not good.
