Had the engine checked out - no problems found. The garage suspects U-joints.
Symptom: vigorous shaking at a rate about equal to as fast as you can shake your fist up and down 6" or so.
Could a torque converter give this symptom? Happens worst at about 2000rpm in second or about 30 mph.
Aside from tire balance, what else should I check?
