X-Stream Air Flow Top Plate.

A brief X-planation.

It replaces the top cover on your open element. Available for 9, 11 and
14 inch filter assemblies.

The advertising rhetoric states you can add 1,000 cfm of air flow
to a 14" filter assembly. It allows air to enter through the top
plate and does not increase turblance. They also claim that the
air being drawn straight down helps increase draw from the sides.
(decreases TB whistle?)

I thought someone said they were trying one out soon.

Check out page 134 of Jeg's spring/summer '98 catalog.
