I'm not sure if they are the same size, though I would suspect so.
There's one on the left side of the block, and another on the right.
If you put the front of the truck up on ramps or something, crawl
under there and look on the sides of the block. I don't remember exactly
where they are, but I think they're the only plugs on the sides of the
block; should be fairly easy to locate.
As far as flushing the system goes, according to my '96 FSM,
draining the entire system is one of the steps before reverse flushing
the system. It did say that reverse flushing is usually only done
if there is evidence of partial blockage, so it might not be nescssary
to flush the system at all. But, if it makes you feel better, I'd
say, go for it! :-) I drained my entire coolant system when I replaced
my thermostat. It wasn't really nescessary to do so, but now I know
exactly what's in my system.
