Walter-

What year is your friends truck? I know that on my '89 the blower motor
resisters died and caused the same problem. On the older Daks, it is
located in the cowl, sticking in from the right side of the engine
compartment. This is a tuff environment, so they get some corrosion on
them. I do not know where it is on the '97 and up models.
It is a cheap $8 part from Chrysler. I don't have the part number with
me.

Thanks,

I have a question from a friend. He was having a problem with his
Dakota
overcharging. The garage he took it to, first rebuilt the alternator,
then
replaced the engine controller to correct the problem. Now the heater
fan
won't work on any setting other than high. Has anyone else had this
problem? Any ideas what he should replace next. I didn't know what to
tell
him.

Thanks,
