I have a 93 CC V8 auto with a 180 'stat. It still goes halfway up in stop
and go traffic with the a/c on, it used to be worse, though. On normal
roads, it works alright. I live in Texas, so my truck gets hotter than
others. Especially when it is 100+ outside.
