Well this question doesn't really have anything to do with Dakotas. I broke the front
axle on my Bronco (story later). It is busted in the middle of the shaft(Dana 44). Anyhow,
how do I get the broken part out? I have yet to figure out how to get it off of the
centersection and out the axle tube. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
STORY:
I parked it at Wal-Mart so more people could see it(selling it so I can upgrade and fix
the Dak - driveshaft still broke). Some sh*thead loosened the right front wheel. Trying
to steal my 33 x 12.5's I guess. I didn't know at the time. Anyhow, I was drivin' and
it started to vibrate, and all the sudden - SNAP. Axle go bye-bye. That's my story.
If I get a whole axle assembly off of a 78-79 Bronco, anyone want the case, brakes,
centersection, and anything else I rip off of it? I saw you guys writing about a 78-79
Bronco Dana 44 somewhere.
Thanks guys,
Dakless in San Angelo
And got a broken down Phord
