I can attest to the strength of Mopar rods also. Was racing my Cuda
with the 383 Magnum, doing a burnout down the lane. <g> Halfway into
the engine turned off.
Scratched my head for a second and then me and my bud pushed the car
back out of the staging area.
Tore it down and found a unholy mess. Pistons in pieces, broken parts
but the rods were all in one piece. Several were highly modified
though. <G>
Chromed one of them and had it until the next to last move.
Put a 440 in it and then really had fun!
