It does list 5x7 for CC for '97-98. I have '95. I don't know how much
difference there could be but obviously enough for them to tell me they
can't help me. I have been told by a couple other members that they got
them so I will try to make them send me a set and see what happens.

Odd. The applications guide embedded in their catalog does list a couple
of 5"x7" speakers for the rear of the CC. Maybe they weren't in stock?
I have not upgraded my speakers, but I know a few list members have, so
you'll get at least a few pointers.
