Mike,
What you are proposing is an EXCELLENT idea. We, over at www.corral.net,
just had Corral Day '98 in Bowling Green, KY. The Corral rented a drag
strip for 6 hours on July 4th. Every participant paid $30 to enter their
car and get a T-shirt. We were able to make as many passes down the track
as we wanted. About 50 Mustangs showed up for the event from as far away
as Daytona, FL and Dallas, TX. It was a wonderful time. Even if you
didn't run your car, it was a great time. We all spent the whole day
admiring each other's cars and discussing certain mods. Of course, we got
in some good track time too. I made about 20 passes on the day. It was so
much fun. I would really encourage all you guys to try to make something
like this possible, especially now that you guys have over 400 people.
Man, just about 7 or 8 months ago people were talking about how cool it was
to have 318 people on the list. I've missed a lot since I've been gone.
Anyway, Not only is it fun, but it's nice to put some faces to peoples'
names.
