Cams are well under $300. Most well established shops on a job that big will
charge about $400-450 in labor to install a cam right, that is a nice, clean
install with no big globs of silicoln and no missing/broken parts.
A backyard mechanic would probably do it for $250-300 in labor.
It may be pricey, but the gains are well worth it to some people.
