The Toronto Star's business section on Saturday shows the exchange rate as
$1 US = $1.4991 Canadian. You'll get 66.71 cents for every Canadian dollar.
The rate has been sliding every single day for the past couple of months.
They keep saying that the Canadian dollar isn't getting weaker, but the US
dollar is getting stronger. Either way, the net effect is the same.

We're in the "megacity" of Toronto. It's still known as Scarborough, but
officially it's the City of Toronto now (east end).

Probably not. My mom and brother are coming into town on the 23rd. Even if
they weren't, we figure it would probably take the better part of a day to
get down there, especially considering you almost always have to sit in a
line up at the border. Most of Saturday to get there, most of Sunday to get
back, and a couple of hours at the show isn't really worth it. Especially
since any expenses in US dollars would hit really hard right now.

Hey, maybe everyone in the north can come up into Canada! Your dollars go a
lot further here. Gas is about the same once you figure the exchange, and
hotels and food are considerably cheaper. Especially since US tourists can
get GST refunded if you're willing to fill in a form and mail it in. (Okay,
I'm being selfish expecting everyone to come here so I don't have to drive
across the country. Never mind.)

95 5.9? That's a neat trick. How difficult was that? I'm toying around
with the idea of swapping in a V8 for my 6 someday, but I don't think the
AX-15 tranny is quite up to it :-(.
