My '97 with 24,000 miles does exactly the same thing and has been that way
since about 8,000 miles. I use good oil and change it every 3000 miles. I have
a shop maual and it says that the MINIMUM idle oil pressure is 6 psi. and the
MAXIMUM at 3000 rpm is 30-80 psi. If this is the case, then it would apear
that it is accepatable pressures. I did see a note about oil filters having
effects on pressures and I'm going to try a Mopar filter next change and see
what happens.
