Re: putting tubes is tubeless tires

Defects in tires can cause serious problems. One tire dealer was sued =
because a tire he repaired was holding air but rain water was getting to =
the steel belts and when they rusted through the crash killed four people.

Sidewall problems are an automatic replacement. Small tread problems are =
usually fixable but what is your life worth? More to the point, what is my =
life worth if you kill me because of negligent operation of a motor =
vehicle? My families lawyers will make you or your relatives wish you put =
a new tire on.

I understand your point that the tire should not have leaked.

Ask the dealer for an adjustment based on tire ware. If the tread is =
deeper then 90 percent then they should really give you a tire for free =
unless the car/tire hit something. This is a truck tire and in all 50 =
states you have a fitness of merchabtability law that says, essentially, =
that if you sell a truck tire it should be fit enough to withstand the "=
normal wear and tear" a truck tire will receive. Sidewall pinches should =
only occur on truck tires if they are underinflated. If they do not get =
your point ask for the district Goodyear Rep. inspect the tire and be sure =
to get his business card when you talk with him.

Been their, done that.

I hope this helps.
