Call your local Parts manager (this may take a few tries tio different dealers
depending on how lazy yours is)

Tell them you need a new speedometer gear. They'll ask for tire size, mfg,
axle ratio, transmission, etc... have all this info ready.

They'll figure out what # of teeth you'll need on your new speedometer gear
(or close) .. I'm not sure how much the new gear is, but it wasn't that
expensive.. it's just a plastic gear.

The gear is held a pressurized case on the side of the transmission. It's held
in by 2 bolts. Very simple swap.. I did mine in the dirt at the dragstrip in
about 5 minutes.
