I use Richmonds. They do tend to be alittle bit louder than a OE gear or
US/Strange's. These are the only gears I've ever had experience with, and I've
seen them used in different applications.
I think alot of the gear howl has to do with improper installation. The guy
who did my R&P swap used to do rear ends for a living - I have had no problems
with my Richmond gearset. I would recommend finding a experienced rear end
shop, or possibly a offroad speciality store that's done a few R&P swaps in
their days.
Even if you have to pay $50 more in labor, doing it right the first time costs
alot less than doing it over.
