Wheels will fit fine, but the speedo will be off depending on what size
of tires you use. The two "stock" sizes that the DRB will reset the
computer to is 28.878" and 31". The stock R/T tires (255/55/17) work out
to 28.043 so with the computer set for the "small" tires, then you'd be
showing 60mph, but actually doing 58.3. You'd also be racking up extra
mileage on the odo; if you drove 20,000 a year, you'd actually put
20,500 on the clock).
275/55/17s are almost a perfect match (28.904"), so you'd be off less
that 1/2mph at 60...

Subject: DML: AAA Rims for R/T wheels
OK you guys, check out my math on this and tell me what you think.
set of 4 R/T wheels from AAA Rims 4X$175=$700
set of 4 Eagle RS-A's from Tire Rack 4X$152=$608
Could this be correct? You can get an entire R/T wheel/tire combo for a
little over $1300 plus shipping, mounting, & balancing? That's a damn
good deal even for refurbished OEM rims. Does anyone know for sure
that R/T wheels will simply bolt on a '97+? Thanks.
