You can take issue with his numbers all you like, but my Dak gets horrendous
mileage. Even "babying" the gas pedal, the absolute best I've ever gotten is
13.5mpg city/highway and 15.7 freeway (Trip to Vegas etc.). The dealer's
won't care either. The truck has almost 6,000 miles on it now so I'd expect
it's almost fully broke in. How you guys are getting the numbers you are is a
phenominal mystery to me.

my Dak ever got was 9mpg, but that was towing a 4,000lb trailer through
a Cleveland blizzard. I used to get 17-18mpg all the time, and I'm
not exactly a conservative driver. Since I've started modding it, I now
get about 15-16mpg, which includes about 10 passes down the 1/4 mile at
the strip. My Dad has driven the truck and got 19mpg, so just changing
the way you drive would have a big impact. I recently drove to Wisconsin
and back (about 700 miles) and got 18-19mpg on the highway. At any rate,
I'd put the gas mileage of the V-8s closer to 15-18, rather than 11-13.
