   I'm kind of partial to the ceramic alloy motors currently being developed.
Still have stainless steel where it needs to be hard, but they have cooling
systems only right against the stainless steel cylinder walls to cool the
sleeves but the rest of the motor doesn't develop or store heat. These are
all still experimental but would be great to see taken to their extreme.

Actually it's a good idea. Plastic doesn't conduct heat like aluminum.
The intake therefore is cooler and doesn't heat the incoming air.
Mopar's been making motors with aluminum intakes for a few years now.
Look at the 4 bangers in my Stratus and in Neons.
