Hi everyone,
I'm from Sweden but are now living and working in Texas (Dodge Dealer) =
for the past year because I got married to an American girl.
Anyway, about Slick 50 here is my experience with it: First car I tried =
it in was a -83 Saab 900 Turbo with 150000 miles on it, did a oil change =
with Slick 50 and drove the car for about 600 miles non stop, when I got =
to my destination the idle had gone up 400 rpm ????? You figure out why.
Next one was a Fiat Croma Turbo -89 got the car new, broke it in with =
driving 600 miles non stop highway. After that did oilchange to Mobil 1. =
Stock boost was 0.5 bar, turn the boost up to 1.0 bar, after about 15000 =
miles I added Slick 50 (then after every 50000 miles I added a new =
bottle of Slick 50).=20
I did oil change with Mobil 1 every 6000 miles, after 167500 miles I =
blow the head gasket, so I thought I take the engine apart to see what =
else it needed. NOTHING, the engine was as clean as new inside, no trace =
after any "snakeoil" or other things.=20
My point is, don't believe everything you read, make your own opinion =
and if you change oil regularly I have a very hard time to believe that =
Slick 50 would do any damage to your engine, I have no experience with =
all the other "snake oil" but it was a major big oil company that both =
Slick 50 a couple of years ago. And if it was so bad that everybody =
says, why would they do that????????
The Swede
Waiting for my fully loaded -99 R/T CC Black (wish I could get it in =
white)
