Morning Josh,

No, I did not install the TransGo ShiftKit myself.

I took my '97 Dakota ClubCab 5.2 to a shop that specializes in
high performance transmissions. The name is "The Transmission Man"
located in Utica, Michigan. The expert is Chris Kalfas.

As for the cost, I couldn't tell you how much to "Just" install the
Shift Kit. I had destroyed my near-stock transmission for the second
time. I had it torn down to the bare cases and completely rebuilt
using several aftermarket parts and some custom work by Chris.
Yes, it was expensive, but in my opinion well worth it. The trans
has also been converted over to AMSOIL Trans fluid. It has high
line pressure and Hayden Cooler. The trans cooling lines do not
go to the radiator. The radiator cools the engine only (180 Thermo).
Transmission clutches are Raybestos.

Hope this helps..
