Oddly enough, I got 75,000 miles plus out of my Dakota's stock brakes.
Never changed a shoe or a pad, or even bled the brakes, in all that time.

My only complaint in terms of the brakes: when they get even a little wet,
they make a loud screech. Funcionality is not affected, though.
