     T. I don't know about documented evidence of poorer quality. It may
exist in an obscure/heavily guarded file in the bowels of ChryCo in
Highland Park. Not one of those things a company would want the public
     to know about.

That's an interesting point, Bob. Is there any documented evidence that the
quality is worse with the engines coming from Mexico?

Curious.

Whit: Goes to show you that you never know how much abuse the thing
went through before you got your hands on it. By the way, the 360s
are made in MEXICO while the 318s are manufactured in DETROIT. Food
     for thought.

The motor was $1200 and only had 10,000 miles on it. I thought I was going
to just replace the cam, port the heads and drop it in. I have an
additional $2200 in engine parts and machine work. $330 for the headersand
y/pipe, $200 for ceramic coating, $220 for a Random Tech 3" Cat, $120 for
the Borla muffler, $250 for the custom exhaust. $230 for the Mopar hipo
computer. Looks like $3750 altogether.
