I'm glad you mentioned this as I feel like such a doofiss when I use it
that I would never have said this first :-) But, now that you've mentioned
it, it does work great! The reason I got one is kinda' funny, though...
You see a guy that works for me bought a Toyota Tacoma almost the same day
I bought my Dak and he kept ribbing me about how good his Toyo looked
compared to the Dak... He's a great guy, but he is also the supreme,
all-mighty, potentate of anal retentiveness and I caught him down in the
garage one day using one of these "Cali Duster" things... Wellllll, not to
be outdone, I got one and now my finish looks just as good *and* I got a
better engine, better styling, better interior... hell, you get the idea!

I got him on the ropes now guys/gals and I think he's gonna' sell the Toyo
and get a Dak! hehehe...

T.

Forgot to mention the best tool for keeping a dark vehicle looking good
is a "California Duster". Takes the dust right off leaveing only the
shine. Never wears out, the dirtier they get, the better they work.

I have a dark purple Dakota, so dark it looks black at night. I didn't
want to wax it because of all the rubber & plastic all over the place.
Usually wax turns that stuff white and it never goes away. So I tried
some Blue Coral No-Buff liquid wax on a small, out of the way piece and
it didn't turn white. 40 minutes later, the entire truck shined like it
never had. It held up fine in the rain, and NO BUFFING! Just don't over
apply it.Alan

Two questions for you guys:
For those of you with black Daks, or any other color, what brand of wax do you use? and What is the best kind of motor oil to use in the V6 conventional or synthetic, what weight?
