I have 38.6K on my '96 and the fuel sending unit just went bad. It was a
tremendously enjoyable experience sitting on the side of the road in the
middle of nowhere with my gas gauge showing 1/4 tank, yeah buddy!!! The
only quelling thought is having the extended warranty. It gets replaced
tomorrow.
