It's ok, I don't mind the kidding a bit. I don't know what kind of image
you had of me, but now you've got me curious ;)

No I'm not an EMT, but from what I've heard and seen about airbags, the
deploy with quite the force. Jason saw a real time video of one and it's in
your face almost immediately. Not these stupid videos with crash test
dummies that show it in slow motion and make it look like a soft pillow.
They are basically an airbomb nor airbag.

I hate losing people I love because of careless stupidity on the road. I
don't care how anyone wants to drive, just don't hurt others in the process.

Some years ago, a punk druken driver decided he was in control and nothing
could hurt him when he sped down the Alaska highway at night. He was only
half right. He wasn't in control but nothing ended up hurting him. He just
ran my father's truck and the two tankers of gasoline he was hauling off the
road and into the side of a mountain. Killed him on impact. Now, with my
own accident, I realized how lucky I was. I guess I'm still very bitter
about reckless driving and I probably always will be.

I do go see Indy racing whenever I get a chance so speed isn't the issue.
One time at Indy I had met and talked to Mario Andretti and he told me that
he was always more afraid of driving on city streets than he could ever be
on the track. I have never forgotten those words.

I'm sorry if I sound morbid, but some days can be tough. Like I said, I'm
not preaching. I just want everyone to be here on the list tomorrow, safe
and sound.

P.S. No more doom and gloom from me, I promise. :)
