I agree,

I've been to his shop. I figured that out when I looked in the phone
book and the address listed for his shop was different from the one I
had gotten from the WWW. The "shop" was small no where near 20,000 sqft
more like 900 sqft. Anyway I talked to him for quite a while but I just
don't think the TB mods justified the price or wait that he indicated.
Nice enough guy though.

Later Fellas,
Steve

And if I remember correctly Jules responded that he used the "house" as
the office for handling the mail order/catalog part, and that the shop
was located elsewhere.

Anyway, he doesn't seem to be around any more, which in my opinion is
too bad. I don't remember anyone quibbling with his technical know-now,
but there were any number of "opinions" on costs, and based on past
experience these "opinions" rarely if ever represent the true cost of
doing something.

Hey Guys,

I was looking through posts and remembered someone asked what happened
to Jules. I think I might have found the post that "broke the camel's
back".

Enjoy,

Steve

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I bought one of his super street TBI's. It is very well done. I
could not have done it that well myself. The problem is it took 6
months to get it. He required a $200 core deposit to even take an
order. I am sure he is very busy but I was dissapointed in the way he
took care of business. Everytime I got him on the phone he was just
about to start mine. Granted I was not in any big hurry but he did
have my money. Finally I got it, after of course I paid the $400+. I
then sent him my old core back and it took almost 3 months to get my
$200 core deposit back. Only after 2 calls and 2 e-mails did I get
it, with his thanks for my patience of course. He was always polite
and helpfull, but I get the impression he tells me what I want to hear
instead of the truth. I previously bought an MSD, and under drive
pulleys from him and had no problem, but of course he just had to
order these (probably from summit or somewhere). He included
excellent instructions with the MSD though, not just the included
paperwork that comes with an MSD. If I had it to do again, I would
not have ordered the TBI, I would have used the money elsewhere. $400
buys alot of HP somewhere else. The Magnum Performance TBI is
beutifull but I have noticed no performance gains. Being a business
owner myself I know what customers expect of me and I do my best to
deliver, because if I did'nt I would not be in business long. Jules
in my opinion is very smart when it comes to dodge but when it comes
to his business I'm not so sure. Michael Clark one of our DML members
from Houston drove over too Jules "shop" (Magnum Performance at 9302
Livernois )only to find there was not one. Just a house with garage.
This is not wrong in and of itself but he has specifically mentioned
several times to me on the phone about his "shop" and about how many
guys he has working for him, and he was expanding his "shop" another
20,000 ft, and the TBI is so simple he has high school kids bolting
them on right out in the parking lot, etc. etc. I am writing you via
private e-mail mainly because Jules is a nice guy, and a member of the
DML, and when he chimes in has lots of good advice. Secondly this is
the mans business, this is how he supports himself. Now if he can
make a living selling aftermarket parts to Dodge enthusiasts then more
power to him. But I also feel a responsibility to my fellow DML
members that make inquiries about Mopar Performance TBI's to relate my
experience with them.

Hope this helps.
