I live pretty close to Cleveland in beautiful Ohio! Any DMLers
live near me?
Here is my profile if any of you care and also my Dodge life
story. I am now nearly 20 and own my fathers old truck. It is an '89 2wd
with ext. bed and the 3.9L and nothing special(not even A/C). I bought it
from him last year when he got 1998 2wd 3.9L w/ext.bed AND A/C. Anyways,
I love high trucks with big tires. So, I got a 2" body lift from
Performance Accessories and some Monroe air shocks for the rear and some
maximum strenth coil springs(bitch to get on) for the front. So, then I
needed some tires. I got some 16" '98 ram chrome wheels very cheap and
some adapters to make them fit. The tires are a long story, but I went to
NTB and got some 275/75/R16 Dunlop Rovers for the back and have some
245/75/R16 Goodyear Wrangler APTs for the front which still rub a little,
but I'll take care of that. Also, the truck was a light blue(notorious
for peeling) which peeled. So, I have painting it with black lacquer
paint myself. Luckily, my girlfriends dad and one of my good friends dads
both really know cars, so they help me constantly. I have my Pioneer CD
player with my Sony speakers for a great sound systems that vibrate my
annoying door panels. Ever since I've had this truck, things have gone
bad, due to age. I've spent a lot of money on upkeep. Even though its an
'89, it only has 70,000 miles. My dad got it new and only used it to
drive to work and haul gravel and hay with it. The wiring is going in
some places now. Right now, my heater blower motor is functional but
doesn't go, and we know its wiring-we took it all apart but didn't have
time to actually fix it due to circumstances.
I want to up the H.P. and have searched the archives and also
asked you guys questions. Some mods I am thinking about are an MP
computer, some headers and cat-back dual exhaust, possibly a new ignition
system, some u-d pulleys, maybe a jet chip, K&N FIPK, and other stuff.
This is all stuff I have read about and would like to get, but I have yet
to seriously research anything save exhaust and ignition upgrades.
Now you know my dakota life story, so now its time to go work out.
