Gene, I used a Flex-a-lite M210/220 dual 12" setup. I couldn't bring
myself to poke the tie straps through the radiator to mount the fans, so
I went to the hardware store and got 1"w by 1/8" thick by 4' long piece
of aluminum bar stock. Then I marked and drilled the holes for the top
mounts of the fan shroud and cut the length so the ends would attach to
the top two stock fan shroud bolt locations on the radiator. Zip ties
hold the bottoms in place. By the way, I had to use a spacer to bolt the
bracket to the fan setup, I used 1/2" pvc cut in about 1 1/2" pieces.
The fans are wired directly to the 12v outs under the hood and fused as
per instructions. They continue to run as needed to cool after shutdown.
They work fine until next summer when the temp here in TX reaches the
usual 100, at which time I plan on installing a 10" pusher fan in the
grille, I found one at Pimp Boys made by Hayden and it should fit. The
dual 12" is from Summit for about 240.00. Works fine for me. Alan S.

Alan,

Sorry if you have already posted this a multitude of times, but work has
kept me from keeping up with the Digests. A review of several past
Digests has revealed no new info. Could you please LMK what fan setup
you used, and how well it works where you live. I KNOW this is worth
some HP, but have been waiting for someone to post a try with the GC fan.
Which ones did you use, and what problems did you have, if any? Thank
you for ANY info.

Congrats on the R/T. I have had mine since April 98, it ran a stock 16.2
@ 84mph, just like the tech info said it would. My last run was a 15.1
@ 90 mph. The single biggest gain in et & mph was a electric fan swap
for the fan & clutch, it was worth 3 tenths & 3mph. The JET II is also a
good mod with a 180 stat. And of course a K&N element.Good luck and
welcome. Alan S.
