Subject: DML: I finally got the R/T

Well I picked it up today. Sure handles a lot different than the 98. I
would
not have believed there would be that much difference. Ride is a lot
stiffer but
I don't mind it. On the winding central Texas back roads that run from
Lampassas
back to Gatesville there are lots of 35mph and 45 mph turns and hills. I
pushed
it through the first 35 mph turn at 55 mph and although I scared myself the
R/T
didn't lean and the tires didn't squeal at all. I am very impressed. A
late
model Chev pu was behind me part of the way until he tried to follow me
around
too many of the curves as fast as I went and he spun out on the 3rd one. If
I
was braver I think the ride could have been like a roller coaster that can
fly
around corners. Anyway I don't want to wreck my new toy before I got home
with
it. BTW the Trip computer says I averaged 17.1 mpg on the 75 mile trip
through
those back roads. Only about 1 mpg less than the 98 did on the same trip.
And
that is completely stock and not broken in.
Satisfied so far,
Jim in Waco.
