94-95 V8 = 220 hp, 295-300 Ft. lbs. 2.5" CAT
96 runs 220 or 230 (can't remember), but has OBD-II = less mods available.

97-98 V8 = 230 hp, 300 Ft. lbs....
99 V8 (5.9)= 250 hp, 345 Ft. lbs... (AR ARH ARG!)-- Sorry, it's my wife's
truck!
I'd probably go for a 94-95, as the airbag is there for the driver (no
passenger),
and probably less miles.
