I believe they are also banned in southern BC. When I was living in Fort
Nelson, we used to use chains. I thought they worked quite well, but you
had to remove them when you got onto paved roads. Now that the Alaska
Highway is completed paved, I don't think they're allowed anymore.

Helluva a lot better than the Argos! And let's not talk about the Leafs,
shall we? They are an ever increasing dissapointment to us, but they seem
