Confused about O2 sensors on R/T

There are 2 O2 sensors, 1 in each exhaust pipe just below the exhaust
manifolds, definately up stream. Also there is 1 located in the converter
body itself right between the dual inlet pipes on the inlet side, aparently
upstream also. There are NONE behind the converter at all. This is not at
all like my 98 was.
