Hi, My name is Ewell Mullins and I live in North Carolina. I have
been a Dodge Dakota owner since 1992. My father gave me his
1988 3.9 Liter Dakota in 1992 when I graduated from college.

At the time the truck had 100,000 miles already on it. But I
had no choice I was starting a new career a new family and I
was broke and couldn't afford a new truck. Now It's October
1998 and the same truck with the original engine has 221,000
miles and I make a 75 mile round trip to work in it every day.

The engine is the original one also the transmission and the
rear end is original also. I've practically had to replace the
routine parts. I've replaced 2 starters 1 fuel pump, 1 alter-
nator 1 power steering pump 1 set of universal joints a couple
of sets of plugs and wires about 3 or 4 sets of brakes and 1 set
of wheel bearings and one paint job.

I consider all of these things routine maintance and they would
of worn out anyway but my point is that my truck is still depen-
able and all I've really done is the routine maintance, And the
truck is still running strong. And when people bragg on their
s-10's and rangers I just ask them to look at the odometer.
I still haven't seen a truck with as much mileage yet.
