Sounds like your T-stat is stuck partially open ... perhaps a piece of junk is caught in it resulting from the flush. Is your temperature guage any lower than normal? Perhaps warms up slower?

Starting with a cold truck, stick a thermometer into the rad (remove rad cap) and run it until warm. Watch the temperature, it should rise suddenly when the T-stat opens and should be pretty close to 180.
