Weight/ 3.9 Drag times

Exact opposite for me. My best times have been run with and the "seat of
the pants" (third gear scratches, acceleration, ect) feeling is best with
the tank just a bit above "E". Your experience could probably be attributed
to track or atmospheric conditions. Motor temp perhaps. 5spd hookup
problems perhaps. I run mine as near to empty as I dare, but leave the
tailgate and spare on because that weight is optimally placed (behind the
rear wheels - thanks for the tip, Gene). Just my experience - about 50 ¼
mile passes on my Dak.

Weight kills ET's.

I need to go on a diet...... 50# = ½ a tenth at least....... but those
enchiladas......biscuits and gravy.......damn.
