I *think* that the build sequence is specific to a particular line.
So, it would tell you "this is the 123456th vehicle produced on the
Dodge City Dakota 4x2 line." So, you could have two Dakotas that
have the exact same build sequence, but they would have been built
on different lines. That's the impression I got when I was looking
through various Internet sources while I was doing research for the
VIN decoder.
