Have you checked the tranny and power steering fluids? Could be a pump
whine. Alan S.

Hello all,

I have a 98 SLT V6 automatic (no really, I LIKE paying extra for slushy
shifting!) ;)

For all of its now 4500 miles of life I have noticed a medium pitched
whining noise anytime I have the accelerator pedal depressed. If I let up
and coast, it goes away. Tap the pedal down again, it resumes. Does not seem
to change in pitch between light pedal and WOT. Any ideas?

Obviously, I'm thinking fuel pump or fuel traveling through the feed lines,
but I would think there'd be a change in pitch at different flow rates...
