First, calculate the actual mph:
 Actual mph = (new tire diam./old tire diam.) X indicated mph
 [pick an indicated mph, say 50 mph]
e.g. actual mph = (26/24) x 50 = 54.17

Then, use above to calculate the %age error of the speedometer:
 % error = (actual mph - indicated mph)/actual mph x 100
e.g. % error = (54.17 - 50)/54.17 x 100 = 7.70

Now, say your trip odometer says you've gone 150 mi.
The actual miles travelled are 150 x 1.0770 = 161.55
