General installation steps not geared to a specific
type of header and assuming stock Y-pipe is used.

Read install instructions, if any, carefully.

The first two steps will give you space and will make
the working of the header a whole lot easier.

 * Remove the air box.

 * Disconnect the battery and remove.

 * With a lift, raise truck.
   Beginning with the stock crossover pipe, unbolt the
   system at the flanges on the bottom end of each header.

 * Lower lift. Passenger side will be the tightest for
   space.
   Remove the bolts that connect the exhaust manifold to the
   engine.

 * Remove the stock manifold by pulling it up through the
   engine compartment (up may be easier than pulling it out
   from underneath the truck).

 * Place new header gasket on the block to prevent leaking.

 * Bolt the new header (snug but not tight).

 * Repeat process on driver's side.

 * With a lift, raise truck.
   Bolt up Y-pipe to end of each header and torque to spec.

 * Lower lift.
   Torque header bolts to spec.

 * Replace air box.

 * Replace battery.

Check header bolts from time to time to make sure that they are
properly sealed.

Maybe others on the list can add to this.
