is Chad Niwranski and I just traded in my 97 Avenger ES for a 99
Dakota R/T CC in black with agate interior that I ordered about 2
weeks ago. I'm hoping it'll be here in mid-January.
This list is great! Some mods I plan on doing right away include a
roll pan, dual Megs tips exiting under the license plate, either a
round 10" or 14" K&N chrome air cleaner or a custom polished aluminum
air tube with conical filter, yellow plug wires, a Snuglid tonneau
cover, and Mopar Performance valve covers (the black crinkle ones with
machined top). I'm really excited to have a vehicle again that I can
easily customize. Not many parts for the Avenger.
I'm curious about the ScatPak Bee decals. I had a couple of SuperBees
made for my Avenger that I put on the B-pillar, but I hadn't really
thought about it for the truck. I was thinking of focusing on the
Rapid Transit that the R/T stands for.
And, the MP computer. Does it make a noticeable enough difference to
spend the cash on it? You guys in the States have it easy when it
comes to price. My truck stickered at $29,150. My options were the
Power Convienence Group (w/o the overhead console), heavy duty service
group, floor mats, fog lamps (part of the R/T package for 99), air
conditioning and power 5x7 mirrors. I got it for $26,000. Invoice was
$25,570. Things ain't cheap up here!
And lastly, I compete in the International Auto Sound Challenge
Association (IASCA) with my car (or truck) audio system. The truck is
going to be done very nicely with yellow and black painted fiberglass
accents. Can't wait!!
I look forward to being about of the list! Thanks a bunch.
