JBA's and my gas mileage?

Back at the end of August I installed my JBA's. Although I love the
increased power, my gas mileage went down. At first it was about 12 mpg
(like I said I love the power) but lately i have been driving much nicer
and most of it on the highway. My mileage has trouble breaking 14.5 mpg.

I may have a bolt working itself loose on the collectors because I think I
hear a bit of a "puff" type of sound at idle. I will tighten that up.

Could the loose bolt cause my mileage problem? I don't think it should, I
just noticed it two days ago. Before I installed the headers I would
average 15.8 mpg (average over 5 months of driving) and now I get about 14
on average in the past few months.

I still have the stock exhaust, FABM and a -slightly- polished TB (I'm
afraid to polish that up too much without the right tools).

Anyone else with my problem?

Thanks,
Matt (98 CC 318 4x4)
